Hi! I’m Kelly.
It’s nice to meet you :) I’m so glad you’ve stumbled upon this little corner on the internet where I share my outfits, style finds, and personal thoughts, along with life updates and other non-style related personal recommendations. I joined Substack in September 2023, but I’ve been a content creator/influencer (I always feel funny referring to myself as either), on Instagram, since 2019.
A little about me:
I currently live in DC with my husband, Sheldon, and our black lab, Bailey. Shel and I met during undergrad at the University of Florida (UF) in 2010. I grew up in Florida, but after graduating from UF, we both moved to Texas to attend grad school — I went to Physician Assistant school in Dallas. After graduating and getting married, we moved to Houston, where we started our careers. In 2017, we decided we wanted a change, so we moved to DC! I still work full time as a Physician Assistant — I love my job, colleagues, and the patients I have the privilege of caring for.
In 2019, Shel encouraged me to start my Instagram account as a creative outlet. I love connecting with others who share similar interests — I could gab for hours about fashion, beauty, home decor, travel, etc. Besides sharing shoppable items, I also share outfit ideas and styling tips with the hope to help you enjoy the act of getting dressed and maximize your own wardrobe.
What to expect:
My goal is to publish 1 to 2 newsletters per week, but sometimes work and life makes meeting that goal challenging. We’re going to chat a lot about shopping, but I also highlight that personal style is so much more than shopping — I share self reflections on past outfits I’ve worn, along with my encouragement for outfit repeating and appreciating the items we already have in our wardrobes.
